Community 2020 | 2 min read
Back in March 2020, VESSEL partnered up with World Vision, an international Christian humanitarian organization that provides various types of aid to communities around the world. Amongst World Vision’s mission to help communities lift themselves out of poverty by tackling root causes, they heavily focus on long-term, sustainable solutions such as bettering education.
As this mission deeply resonates with VESSEL’s own mission to give back, the two organizations teamed up to pack 600 VESSEL school backpacks with classroom supplies and hand-written notes. For those with limited resources, these kits can make all the difference in everyday learning.
Fast-forward to today--much of the world has changed as global communities have been greatly impacted by COVID-19. But one thing that remains constant-- World Vision continually provides urgent and long-term relief for those that have been most affected. Since the global pandemic’s emergence, World Vision’s Coronavirus Emergency Response has reached over 54 million people - including more than 24 million children - in over 70 countries, including the U.S.
World Vision’s COVID-19 Relief Progress Stats:
- 83,431 public hand-washing stations established or maintained
- 437,972 disinfectant kits provided to healthcare facilities
- 6,051,117 people reached with food assistance
- 264 global, regional and national policy changes achieved
This #GivingTuesday, we invite you to join us in giving back with your purchase of a gift that keeps on giving - 20% of today's sales will be donated to World Vision. Let's build a better world together!
